Installation in TYPO3

Invoice module for TYPO3

ePay has developed a free module for the payment of invoices through TYPO3. The module is easy to install and use.

TYPO3 is an open source content management system for creating e-stores.

Download the module and follow the 4 simple steps below to start receiving payments online.

1. Create an ePay account

You need a test account with ePay to try the module. A test account is free, and you can create one in just a few minutes. When the account is created, you get a test merchant number, which is used for making test payments.

Get a free account

Please state that you want a test account in the comment field. You can disregard all prices.

When you’re ready to receive real payments, we’ll upgrade your test account to a production account. This means you don’t have to create a new account from scratch, but get to keep your settings.

2. Install the ePay module in TYPO3

NB: Before installing the module, please make a backup of your website!

Download the module, and save the file to your hard drive.

Go to your TYPO3 administration on http://yoururl/typo3, and log in. Choose Ext Manager in the menu Admin tools.

Choose Import extensions in the dropdown menu.

Upload the file you downloaded in “Upload extension file (.T3X)”, and press ‘Upload extension file’.

Click on ‘Install extension’ at the bottom.

Notice: Make sure that ALL boxes are checked on the next page. You can use select/deselect all.

Press ‘Make updates’ at the bottom.

The module is now installed and must be activated before use.

3. Activate the module in TYPO3

Choose ePay in the left menu, and press Settings.

Enter your merchant number in the field “Merchant number”. You received the number from ePay, and you can find it in your ePay administration under Settings -> Payment system.

Press ‘Save’ at the bottom.

Click on Page in the left menu, and choose ‘Create new page’.

Uncheck “Hide Page”, and enter a title in “Page title” (e.g. invoice payment). Save your settings by pressing the blue disk at the top of the page.

Choose the page you just created in the list on the left, and press ‘Create page content’.

Press General Plugin at the bottom of the page.

Click on the tab Plugin, and choose ePay in the dropdown menu. Save by pressing the blue disk at the top of the page.

You might have to choose a template for your site. Go to Template, and choose your newly created page. Pick a template from the list, and press ‘Create template for a new site’.

4. Test the module

The domain from which you’re testing must be registered in your ePay administration under Settings -> Payment system. If the domain is not registered, ePay cannot open the payment window and present it to your customers.

Test the module by making a purchase.

Go to the front page of your TYPO3 administration, and choose the page you just created.

Fill in the fields, and press the payment button.

The payment window will now open. You can add your own logo and company information at the top of the window. Do this from the ePay administration in Settings -> Payment window.

The customer chooses between the payment methods activated on your ePay account. When the payment is completed and the payment window is closed, the customer is directed to an order confirmation page.
